This elastomer has a shrink ratio of 2:1 with a single wall. In the expanded state it has a width of 12.7 mm while in the recovered state the tubing has a width of 6.4 mm. The ideal way of using the tubing is to pass the cables through it and then heat it to the shrink temperature so that the cables to be protected can be tightly wrapped. The usual temperature for the shrink of this type of tubing is about 175 degrees Celsius.
