Fuel Tank Connectors

Our hermetically sealed bulkhead connectors are specially designed for installation in fill plates to facilitate in-tank fuel pump wiring. Our fuel tank connectors are equipped with solder terminals.

Here are some additional tips for creating in-tank wire looms that can withstand the harsh conditions inside fuel tanks:

• Wire: Always use Tefzel wire, with /32 Tefzel being the most popular choice.
• Heat-shrink tubing: Viton is the only heat-shrink tubing that should be used inside fuel tanks.
• Splices: Use uninsulated splices, and always cover them with Viton heat-shrink tubing.
• Connectors: The Deutsch DT series or Delphi Metri-Pak/Weather-Pak connectors are the most commonly used connectors inside fuel tanks. All rubber seals must be removed from the connector bodies.
